I have completed my Plant-Based Nutrition Certificate from Cornell University, my Starch Solution Certificate from the McDougall Health and Medical Center as well as their Maximum Weight Loss Course and Aging Gracefully course.

I have been a Bodyworker/Massage Therapist for over 28 years and received my education from East West College of the Healing Arts. I have worked in several capacities, including wellness clinics, spas, chiropractor clinics, health clubs, private practice and corporate wellness, performing onsite chair massage.

I am well versed in a variety of bodywork techniques, including Swedish, Deep Tissue, Sports, Prenatal, Trigger Point, Reflexology, Reiki, Hot Stone and Cupping.

I have academic experience teaching classes on massage therapy, spa treatments, fitness programming, nutrition, group exercise and the sciences, including anatomy, physiology, kinesiology and pathology.

I became interested in massage, bodywork, movement, fitness, nutrition and coaching during my studies in modern dance, ballet, and ethnic dance at the University of Oregon. I owned a nonprofit dance company for over 7 years with 2 wonderful colleagues and have taught dance- and fitness-based classes, including yoga and Pilates for over 30 years.

I have studied a wide variety of yoga techniques including hatha, ashtanga, vinyasa, yin, chair and therapeutic yoga. My yoga studies include classes in local studios from amazing teachers, participating in workshops and completing the YogaFit training Levels 1-3.

I have also studied Pilates extensively and it is one of my favorite forms of exercise. It is not only a fantastic workout, but it is extremely therapeutic. I have trained with the international Merrithew Company, and I am a Stott Pilates Trainer in Mat and Reformer. I also trained with 24 Hour Fitness and IWWA.

During my career I also held an Ace Council on Exercise Group Fitness Certificate for 18 years and have been through multiple YMCA trainings, holding certificates for YMCA Fitness Specialist and Strength and Conditioning, their version of personal training, and YMCA Leadership Trainings.

I love learning and studying, and I have dedicated my entire career to health, wellness and fitness. I am super excited to be a Health and Wellness Coach and had a wonderful 6-month experience in a weight management clinic, working one-on-one with folks on weight loss and management.  I am now a Lifestyle Coach for the Diabetes Prevention Program and am currently teaching classes and coaching throught Providence.  I am also passionate about plants and cooking and excited to share my knowledge and skills for those who are interested.

I am currently studying to be an American Council on Exercise Personal Trainer to increase my knowledge and skills coaching clients toward their fitness goals.

I love to volunteer and have done so for NW Veg, Stand for Children and Friends of the Library through the Multnomah County Library, as well as various events where I donated my time doing onsite chair massages for various charities.

My hobbies and interests include hiking and the outdoors, cuddling and walking with my dog, cooking, dance, reading great fiction and non-fiction books, and spending time with loved ones.
